The Doxie software integrates Optical Character Recognition technology from ABBYY which allows you to create searchable PDFs out of your JPEG, PDF and PNG digital scans.
It has an automatic document feeder but without an ADF tray that scans at 7 pages per minute and there is no single pass duplex scanning mode. The scanning speed is nothing to brag about. You can even connect it via USB without using any special drivers. But this is a document scanner that is completely independent because you can scan directly to an SD card. This portable scanner can connect to your PC and Mac through either USB cable or Wi-fi. The only difference is that the SE Wifi has wi-fi included which we highly recommend.
